It is The Bronx, New York, 1970’s. Abandoned by systematically oppressive city government policies, nearly a half-million people were displaced as their close-knit, multi-ethnic neighborhood burned to the ground via arson.The Bronx experienced a sharp decline in population, livable housing and quality of life.The action of the play takes place within a small community in the south of the borough. It is an historically poverty-ridden district;. the folks here are living day to day, minute to minute in the least savory of melting pots.
